Have figured out how to add multiple images on a product page but is there any way to turn it into a slideshow rather than having default and alternate view tabs under the image as it looks messy.

Thank you for your question. Currently we are not offering slideshow for images on product pages by default. This would be a paid custom development.
If you’re interested such a change on your webstore, please open the ticket and provide us with specific information or examples how would you like your images to be displayed on product pages.
