Is there a way to make specific items unavailable for shipping? For instance we have a Tommy’s Margarita mix which needs to be stored and kept cold, therefore we’d like to make it unavailable for shipping but local delivery is okay. As far as I know there isn’t a way to do this in PAM, RMS or Store manager that I have found. Please let me know if I am missing something.
You can use a combination of shipping rules and a special trait in PAM mapped to one of the custom product fields via NSc Sync to hide / show different delivery options at checkout.
We have a number of products which are suitable for shipping by letter post rather than courier, so if those are the only product(s) in the basket we use a “letter post” trait in PAM to display ‘letter post’ as a shipping option. You could have a numeric ‘block shipping’ trait which defaults to 0 (false), but any time the basket adds up to 1 (true) or more the shipping delivery method would be automatically hidden.
