Amazon 100: Getting Started

Amazon Index

The initial set up is non-trivial, Amazon have exacting standards that will require time and patience to meet. However, they do provide extensive guidance on how to meet their information standards. The payback is that once you set up the integration, all new products that you add to your POS, all price changes you make on your POS, all inventory changes you make on your POS and all orders placed on Amazon are automatically added, modified and synchronized between your POS and Amazon.

We have a comprehensive series of articles to get you integrated. The 100 series will get you through the first part of the set up - getting your credentials from Amazon, entering them into the NitroSell WebStore manager and deciding on how you want to handle your Amazon orders.

Step 1. Sign up with Amazon for a Professional Seller Account
The integration uses the Amazon Marketplace Web Service(MWS). To be eligible to use MWS, sellers must have a professional/ pro Amazon selling account. Sellers with only individual Selling on Amazon accounts are not eligible to register for or use MWS. If you are an individual seller and would like to use MWS, you can become eligible to register for MWS by upgrading to a Pro Merchant seller account from the ‘Setting - Account Info’ page in your Seller Central account.
